Our Export Process

Ten transparent steps from your first inquiry to a cleared container at your destination port — so you always know exactly where your order stands.

Buying frozen meat internationally involves more moving parts than almost any other food commodity: veterinary approvals, halal workflows, cold chain integrity, reefer logistics and destination-specific documentation. Our process exists to make each of those parts predictable. Below is exactly what happens at every stage of a BMGFoods.com order, what we need from you, and what you receive from us.

Step 1 — Inquiry

You send us your requirement by inquiry form, email or WhatsApp: product(s), specification preferences (bone-in/boneless, trim, weight bands, skin-on/off for pork), quantity, destination port, and any certification needs such as halal. If you're unsure of exact specifications, tell us the application — retail, food service or processing — and we'll propose the right spec. What you receive: acknowledgment the same business day and clarifying questions if needed.

Step 2 — Quotation

Within 24 business hours we issue a written quotation: product specification, packaging format, price basis (FOB / CFR / CIF to your port), MOQ, estimated production lead time, and validity period. We confirm at this stage that the producing plant is approved for your destination market — we never quote product we cannot certify for your country. What you receive: itemized quotation plus product specification sheets.

Step 3 — Purchase Order & Proforma Invoice

You confirm with a purchase order; we respond with a proforma invoice locking product, specification, quantity, price, payment terms, shipment window and destination. Typical payment structures are an advance deposit with balance against copy of shipping documents, or an irrevocable letter of credit at sight. The signed proforma is the contract of record for the shipment. What you receive: proforma invoice for countersignature.

Step 4 — Production

On receipt of deposit or workable L/C, production is scheduled at the designated plant. Cattle or hogs are processed under official veterinary supervision; cuts are prepared to the locked specification, packed, metal-detected and blast frozen to −18 °C core temperature. For halal beef programs, slaughter proceeds under the certifying body's supervision. What you receive: production schedule confirmation and mid-production status updates.

Step 5 — Inspection

Every lot passes official veterinary inspection covering fitness, hygiene and labeling. If you have commissioned independent pre-shipment inspection (SGS, Bureau Veritas or equivalent), the inspector verifies specification compliance, carton condition, temperatures and quantities before release for loading. What you receive: inspection certificates and, where commissioned, the independent inspection report.

Step 6 — Packing & Palletization

Product is packed in the agreed format — IWP, vacuum, polyblock or bulk — in export-grade cartons labeled with product, plant number, production and expiry dates, lot code and net weight. OEM private-label cartons are applied here for branded programs. Cartons are palletized or prepared for floor loading per the container plan. What you receive: packing declaration and carton label proofs (OEM programs).

Step 7 — Container Loading

A pre-cooled 40-foot high-cube reefer arrives at the plant; loading proceeds under supervision with temperature checks at the door. The container is sealed with a numbered seal, set to −18 °C, and gates out to port. A loading photo report — cartons, temperatures, seal — is compiled. What you receive: loading photo report, seal number and container number.

Step 8 — Shipping

The container ships on the booked vessel. We monitor the voyage including any transshipments, and notify you of departure, expected arrival and any schedule changes as they happen. Temperature data loggers, where requested, travel inside the container. What you receive: booking confirmation, bill of lading copy, vessel tracking updates.

Step 9 — Documentation

Original documents are prepared and dispatched (or presented through the L/C bank): commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, veterinary health certificate, certificate of origin, and halal certificate where applicable. Drafts are shared for your review before originals are issued — catching a typo at draft stage costs nothing; catching it at destination costs days. What you receive: draft documents for approval, then couriered originals or bank presentation.

Step 10 — Delivery & After-Sales

On arrival, your customs broker clears the consignment using the document set; we remain available to answer authority queries until release. After delivery we ask for your feedback on quality and process — and for program buyers, the next shipment's schedule is usually already in motion. What you receive: our continued support until the container is released, and a partner for the next one.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you ship CIF including insurance?
Yes — CIF terms with marine cargo insurance are available; the premium is itemized on the quotation.
What happens if my market requires a specific certificate format?
Tell us at inquiry stage. We verify the plant's ability to obtain the exact certificate your authority requires before quoting — that's built into Step 2.
Can I inspect the goods before shipment?
Yes — independent pre-shipment inspection can be arranged (Step 5), and buyer representatives can attend loading for volume programs.
Do you offer recurring monthly programs?
Yes. Program buyers get reserved production slots, stable specifications and priority vessel bookings. Most of our volume ships under recurring programs.
